We invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 9th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for our fall BCCR - ELG Speakers Series event.

In this event we have brought together industry leaders from different generations to help answer the question, "How do you navigate change in the construction industry while working across multiple generations?”

  • High quality network with other high potential Emerging Leaders like yourself

This session will bring together Emerging Leaders for an in-person evening of networking and inspiration – because we know high potential leaders need to build strong in-person relationships.

The Speaker Series event will feature an introductory discussion with our panel of speakers, followed by a speed networking session for all attendees. The session will conclude with informal networking.

Panelists:

Darryl Matson, P.Eng, holds a Bachelor's and Master of Applied Science degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He began his career at COWI (formerly Buckland & Taylor Ltd.) in North Vancouver. He has been instrumental in establishing the company as a top bridge engineering firm in North America. Over his 35-year career with COWI, Darryl has held key leadership roles, including Vice President, President & CEO, and Senior Vice President, contributing significantly to the company's growth and success. Currently, he focuses on project delivery and mentoring staff as a Senior Technical Director with the firm.

Kenedee Ludwar, P.Eng, is the Executive Director of Engineering Services at BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (BCMOTI) and is responsible for the province-wide engineering program, including the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of a range of legislation, regulations and policies. Kenedee provides leadership to engineering staff and the varied professional services who are engaged in the design, development and delivery of professional standards, services and advice that are critical to the ministry’s ability to operate provincial transportation systems in a manner deemed to be safe, efficient, economical and environmentally acceptable. Kenedee graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering.  

Imran Gehlen, P.Eng, leads AECOM’s Transportation business in BC and is a senior member of AECOM’s cross-Canada transit practice. Imran leads staff in rail, transit, project management, tunnelling, highways, roads, and bridges. He is a leader for roughly 65 transportation infrastructure personnel in Burnaby, Kelowna, Victoria, Calgary and Edmonton. Imran has experience leading conventional and alternative delivery transportation projects and is currently the Project Director for AECOM on the Surrey-Langley Skytrain Project Package 2. Imran is a professional engineer who graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BSc. in Mechatronics Engineering.

Murilo Sobreiro is a Marketing and Proposal Specialist at COWI, where he combines his expertise in marketing and communications to drive business development and proposal success. Since entering the construction industry in 2019 as a Marketing Coordinator, Murilo has honed his skills in proposal management, playing a key role in securing projects across diverse sectors.
