Join fellow BCCR members for a construction tour of stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge.
This behind-the-scenes tour will involve walking up a steel scaffolding staircase (approx. 12 flights) to the deck of the stal̕əw̓asəm (Riverview) Bridge and then walking along the multi-use path (MUP) in both the north and south directions to view construction and deconstruction activities.
Topics covered include key road connections from the bridge, new MUP infrastructure, demolition, key components of the stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge, offsetting/landscaping plans and the First Nations cultural recognition program. Plan to be on site for 2 hours (includes safety briefing and walking up and down from the bridge deck).
Please note: tour details are subject to change based on venue availability.
***Please note that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory on site. All attendees must bring the following: Safety footwear minimum 6 inches high, laced-up for ankle support, toe protection, puncture resistant soles, Hard hat with hard hat lanyard or chinstrap, Safety glasses or over-glasses if wearing prescription eyewear, Hi-vis vest, A3 puncture resistant gloves. General worksite apparel & other PPE: Long pants (no shorts or capris) and long sleeve shirt or t-shirt (no tank tops).
