Panelists
Matt Pitcairn is the President of the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association. Before joining the association, Matt held various leadership roles in the public and private sectors, where he developed a keen understanding of organizational management and strategic planning. His background includes experience in community development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Matt advocates for the industry, addresses regulatory challenges and labour market dynamics, and promotes sustainable practices. His commitment to innovation and efficiency drives his efforts to support the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association members in navigating the evolving landscape of infrastructure development.
David Hubner is Vice President at Infrastructure BC, with a focus on the transportation and utilities sectors. He has a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and an economics degree and spent ten years in the banking sector and corporate finance area prior to his work in procurement. Over the past eighteen years, David has been involved in a number of major capital projects in the transportation, energy and accommodation sectors that have provided measurable benefits to end users and taxpayers.

Stuart McNish has been involved in video journalism and storytelling for over 35 years. Stu is the host of Conversations Live, a “Public Affairs Dialogue” platform carried on The Vancouver Sun. Stu is also the host of Conversations That Matter, a weekly television show, YouTube channel, a podcast and a radio program that can be seen and heard on The Vancouver Sun, CHEKNews and Bell Media outlets in British Columbia. He is also the founder and President of Oh Boy Productions, an independent video and television production studio in Vancouver.
