Presenters:

Nathan Koning, P.Eng. - General Manager, Engineering and Regional Utilities at the City of Abbotsford. After seven years as a consulting engineer, Nathan has spent 16 years with the City of Abbotsford. He has extensive experience in various leadership and technical roles, including project management, waste management, and utilities. In his current role, Nathan provides strategic leadership and oversight to over 75 employees. His team recently delivered a major new road/rail separation of Vye Road and an upgrade to the Sumas border crossing.

Alex Ramos-Espinoza, P.Eng. - Director of Engineering Services at the District of Kitimat. Alex, a seasoned professional, has been a valuable asset to the District of Kitimat for the past 7 years, following a successful 15-year career in consulting with LaPoint Engineering and Hatch. His contributions have been instrumental in delivering groundbreaking infrastructure projects that have supported Kitimat’s historic industrial development. Notable among these are the new Haisla Bridge, a state-of-the-art waste management facility, and innovative regional planning efforts.

David Collings is the Managing Principal at Collings Johnston Inc. and provides senior leadership and technical advisory services to major infrastructure project owners, contractors, and lenders. He specializes in building project teams and leading the development and implementation of major projects.
