April Breakfast Session - Collaborative Contract Models

On Thursday, April 27th, the British Columbia Construction Roundtable will host a presentation on Collaborative Contract models at the Terminal City Club with Brian Maksymetz, P.Eng., lead Consultant at Better Projects Incorporated.

Brian Maksymetz is the Lead Consultant with Better Projects Incorporated which is a management advisory consulting company specializing in Early Contractor Involvement and in the Mechanics of Collaboration™.  Brian leverages his 28 years of project experience from working for the Project Owner, the Design Consultant, and the Construction Contractor to help teams work better together to drive superior project outcomes, regardless of the contract model.  Brian is a Civil Engineer with a specialty in water treatment, and he is based in Calgary.

This presentation on Collaborative Contract Models will explain some of the pros and cons of some of the emerging contract procurement models for collaborative projects, including suggested “best-use” for each model.  A brief explanation on the Mechanics of Collaboration™ will be included to explain how and why these models result in superior project outcomes.
