BC's very own General Fusion is building a Fusion Plant!

General Fusion set out to develop a commercially viable approach to fusion energy. Now they are building their Fusion Demonstration Plant - an exciting project impacting the energy transition. Michael Cappello has more than 35 years of global experience in the energy and power sectors, primarily in fusion energy, industrial robotics, and nuclear power industries. His leadership experience spans the construction of advanced fusion facilities, operation of commercial nuclear power plants, management of large U.S. Department of Energy facility projects, and growth of new industrial technology ventures.

Michael was the Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer of TAE Technologies. Prior to TAE, Michael was the Chief Executive Officer of SA Robotics and Senior Vice President of Informatics Corp.

Michael has earned multiple INC 500 performance awards and the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for technology.
